So what's new? We are staying put for a while in Southern California
as we recoup from all the expenses of the trips. As we catch up, we are
building a website (see the new e-address) to increase local and regional
attention to minister. This is now up and running and we need to learn
how to update it with articles and reports. Please visit the website
and give us your feedback or comments. You'll see we are also offering
our CD's and some custom made T-shirts that get the word out. We recently
had a radio interview with a Messianic program out of Chama, NM., regarding
Rosh Hoshana. Joanne sounded the Shofar (she's the best between us) and
we sang a couple songs. We may soon play for a Messianic TV program that
is broadcast in the area. We recently spent a couple weeks in Tijuana,
Mexico. What a blessing, these people have to be of the lost tribes of
Israel, their praise and worship is un-fettered and they absorb all we
can give them.
Praise Report! If you recall in our fist letter, Eric's mom (Margaret)
was in chemotherapy. Well guess what...she's been healed and diagnosed
as cancer free! When her Jewish doctor said the chemo couldn't have done
it all, he heard the gospel of the Jewish Messiah who healed her right
there in his office by a 79 year old woman (she said she felt something
at prayer in our Synagogue). We also met a former Baptist pastor, hello
Curtis Taylor, who had been healed of the same cancer after he renounced
his slander against Yahweh's commandments he had preached against in
his younger days. He is now renewed in faith and starting a congregation
in Grand Junction, CO. To G-d be the glory! Our meek lives testify of
His greatness and how we are enlarged by Him. What a mystery, to see
the heavenlies affected by our lives submitted to Yah's holiness, character
and His ways. That through His Son and our participation, principalities
fall. I think we need to tighten our seat belts, awesome times are fast
approaching!
As some of you know, we were encouraged to seek sponsorship from a viable
organization and Abba brought that to us. We had asked Yah to bring the
offer to us if it was of His design. Our congregation, Kehilat Ariel
offered to go through them for financial donations that can be deducted.
All that we need is provided for and future needs will also be taken
care of. We welcome your prayers, particularly for open doors. Our God
is faithful! There is room on the calendar to share more music (the paying
kind which Abba knows) to help relieve the summers unexpected debt. Please
pray for Doug at TheFamilyCompany.com as he has graciously donated pricey
work in making our website. He needs more internet business and focuses
on non-profit organizations. Please pray also for Monte de los Olivos
in Escondido. Pastor Frank Salas has miraculously purchased a facility
and is now affecting the whole town. The enemy is trying to stop them
through the exisiting area churches and it is a battle of survival for
them. They are confident G-d will see them through what He has begun
in them with convincing signs and prophecy.
We have been asked to assist Kehilat Ariel in music and now the door
is wide open as Rabbi Barney Kasdan could use the assistance. We had
now idea we would be involved with the music ministry there when we joined.
We feel it is a privilege to serve in our local Synagogue and pray that
we can be an encouragement to them. On to more material needs: Abba provided
the computer we petitioned from Him but since it was used we are told
that when it dies, let it die. We trust that Abba knows our needs and
will keep it running until another is provided. He also provided us with
good size enclosed trailer for our short tours and it has room to grow.
On our NORTHWEST AND BEYOND TOUR, Abba gave me (Jo) a spiritual shot
in the arm. My prayer was that God would rekindle the fire within me
and about 1 week into our tour, he did just that, by the message of a
Rabbi in Modesto, CA. The message went something like this..."God
has given all of us gifts and talents. If we don't use them for His Kingdom,
it is like slapping God in the face with His gift to us." WOW! What
a wake up call! I realized that I had more than music alone to offer
to God. I want to give it ALL up to Him. So my encouragement to you all
is: 1st - Search out what He has given YOU. 2nd - Offer it to the Body
of Messiah and those you have contact with, and 3rd - Watch the fruit
begin to multiply, and rejoice! That is how we "SOW" seeds.
God has restored what the locust has eaten in my life. One of our T-shirts
design says it all: "Spark the fire...Fan the FLAME!" Our God
is a consuming fire! It's all about GOD.
In Messiah…Eric & Jo
